UK ETA Express Service: Get Approved Faster

UK ETA Express Service: Get Approved Faster

Nobody can make the UK Home Office decide faster. What our express service does is help you avoid the small mistakes that hold most applications up, so your ETA is approved on the first try and you are not stuck waiting before your flight.

UK ETA Application Portal: https://application.etauk.ae/

How long does a UK ETA really take?

The usual answer is up to 3 working days. Many applications come back sooner, sometimes within hours, but do not plan your trip around that. Do not assume yours will be one of the fast ones.

Here is what that means in real life. If you fly on Friday morning and apply on Wednesday night, you are cutting it close. A weekend or a UAE public holiday in between can make it worse. If your application needs a manual check, you could wait longer than you planned.

An approved ETA lasts 2 years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first, and lets you stay up to 6 months per visit for tourism and family visits. Every traveller needs their own, babies included. For more detail, see our guide to the UK ETA validity period and the processing time page.

The key point: the clock starts when you submit a clean application. A form with a typo or a bad photo does not move faster. It moves slower, or it gets sent back.

What our express service does

Let us be straight about this, because some websites are not. There is no secret fast lane for ETAs. Anyone who promises to jump your application ahead of the line is overselling.

What we do is the work around the decision:

  • Check your passport details line by line before submission
  • Make sure your photo meets the rules so it is not rejected
  • Walk you through the security and travel questions in plain language
  • Submit your application and keep your reference number safe
  • Tell you the moment a decision arrives, so you are not refreshing your inbox

What we cannot do: change the decision, guarantee approval, or guarantee entry. An ETA is permission to travel, not a promise that Border Force will let you in.

If you are weighing your options, our page on online application vs using an agency breaks down the trade-offs, and the urgent ETA page explains what to do when your flight is close.

Applying on your own or with our express service

Both routes lead to the same decision. The difference is who carries the risk of mistakes and how much of your time it takes.

Mistakes that slow your ETA down

Most delays come from the same handful of errors. These are the ones we check on every application.

  1. Name or passport number typed wrong. Even one wrong character can link the ETA to a passport that does not exist. Copy details from the photo page, not from memory. If you spot an error after submitting, read our errors and fixes guide.
  2. A photo that fails the rules. Shadows, glasses glare, a busy background or a cropped head are common reasons. Check the photo requirements before you take the picture.
  3. Applying with the wrong passport. The ETA is tied to one passport. If you hold two, apply with the one you will show at check-in. Passport rules are on our passport requirements page.
  4. Rushing the security questions. These cover criminal and immigration history. Answer honestly and fully. A wrong answer can cause a refusal that is hard to undo.
  5. Picking the wrong travel purpose. An ETA is for visits, not work. Read what is and is not allowed in our prohibited activities guide.
  6. Applying the day before you fly. It may work. It may not. Give yourself at least 3 working days, more if a weekend or holiday sits in between.

If you were refused, do not just resubmit the same form. Read how to reapply after a refusal first.

Three typical situations, and the right move

A family of five flying in four days. Five people means five separate ETAs, five passports and five photos, including a baby who will not sit still. One bad photo or one mistyped passport number can hold up the whole trip. This is where our express service helps most, because one person on our team checks all five applications together. Read our family and group ETA guide before you start.

A solo traveller with three weeks to spare. The form is short, the passport is valid, and the photo is easy. You may not need us. Check your details twice and wait for the email. If you want a second pair of eyes, we are here.

A traveller who got a refusal and flies next week. This is the hardest case. Do not rush a second application with the same details. Find out what likely went wrong first. Depending on the reason, a standard visitor visa may be the better route, and that takes much longer than an ETA, so the earlier you decide the better.

The pattern is simple. The tighter the deadline and the more people involved, the more a second pair of eyes is worth.

Common questions

Can I get a UK ETA the same day?

Some applications are approved within hours, but nobody can promise it. Plan for up to 3 working days. Our page on same-day processing explains what affects the speed.

Does your express service guarantee approval?

No. The Home Office makes the decision. We lower your chance of an avoidable error, nothing more.

How do I check my application?

Use the reference number from your confirmation. Our guide on checking your ETA status shows the steps.

What happens after I am approved?

Your ETA is linked to your passport digitally. You do not need to print anything, but keep the confirmation email handy. See what to do after approval.
